Shed the Shame
SHED THE SHAME
WOMEN'S EVENT | SEPTEMBER 18th, 2021

IF:GATHERING

shed the shame
WOMEN'S EVENT | SEPTEMBER 18th, 2021
CrossPoint will be hosting an amazing one-day event for women ages 16 and up called Shed the Shame.
In a culture that has set numerous standards, Christian women are victim to shame when this mold of perfection is not met. Hiding behind cover stories and false identities in order to be seen as socially acceptable, shame is turning women away from one another. Shed the Shame is an event designed to provide a space for women to come together in transparency to shed light on struggles, temptations and sins that most of us face but are too ashamed to talk about. As Christians, God calls us to confession and into community. In response to that call Shed the Shame prompts women to walk in the freedom granted to them by Jesus Christ to break the bondage of shame over sins and struggles. Shedding the shame means having the freedom to confess and own the parts of our story that are broken and in need of healing and grace from Jesus Christ.
